Manali Tsokar Tsomoriri lake

Manali – Tsokar – Tsomoriri – Hanle – Pagong – Nubra Itinerary.

Day 1  : Start early morning. Drive through the picturesque Manali-Leh High way, After crossing Rohtang Pass at 13134 ft the road descend to Chandra and Bhaga basin of Lahul, leaving the green orchards of Keylong and passing through the last village of Himachal Pradesh, Darcha, Overnight in Darcha Padma Lodge, altitude, 3500m

Day 2  : Early morning drive to Tsokar lake road further climbs to Baralachala at 16050 ft and descends to the sprawling wide valley ofSarchu,From Serchu drive towards Tsokar lake. Overnight at deluxe Camp at Tsokar .

Day 3  : We Spend around the Lakes and Barren Mountains. Fair chances of Argali, Upland Buzzard, Golden Eagle, Black necked Crane,Tibetan Sangross, Bar Headed Goose, Strip Geese, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Common Merganser, Red Crested Pochard, Common Kestrel,Brown headed Gull, Rust Geese,etc.Tibetan Wild Ass, Tibetan Wolf and Red Fox. Overnight Camp.

Day 4  : Tsokar to Tsomoriri (4520m) about 3 hrs. drive crossing Polokong ka la (4920m) & Namshang la (4800m). We drive watching along the way, stopping at Puga. We have good chances of Bharal, Himalayan Marmats and Ladakh Urial apart from birds like Bar headed Goose, Afternoon explore the lake area. O/n in fixed tented camp.

Day 5  : We explore the reqions of Tso Moriri. There should be breeding Bar headed goose and Ruddy Shelduck on the Lake, besides horn lark, Tibetan Finch and Chukar.

Day 6  : Tsomoriri to Hanle via Mahe. Diatance of 160 km, 4/to 5 hours drive in jeep. Great place to see the Black necked Crane, Tibetan Gazelle. Overnight in Home Stays.

Day 7  : This day is spent exploring around the areas of Hanle. You will see many birds apart from Desert Wheatear, Horned Lark, Common Merganser . If you are lucky good chance to see Lynx AND Pallas Cat. Overnight in Home Stays.

Day 8  : Hanle to Pangong lake, (4500 meters altitude) 150 km, 4 to 5 hrs drive most of the road are non metallic but very nice and beautiful landscape will see during this day. Afternoon visit around lake you will see Bar Headed Geese, Brahmani Duck are common birds.

Day 9  :  Leh – Pangong Lake – Leh. Head towards Pangong Lake (150 km Retrun) in morning. Enroute visit Thiksay monastery. Spend time at lake with birds like Bar Headed Geese, Brahmani Duck are common birds . This lake is a major attraction in Pangong lake tour and a must visit in your travel to Leh Ladakh. Camp at Pangong Deluxe Camp.

Day 10  : Pangong Lake Leh. .Late morning drive back to Leh after taking photos of lakes and birds. Enroute visit Hemis monastery. Spend the night at the Camp.

Day 11  : Transfer to Nubra Valley. Visit cold desert and enjoy the pleasure of Camel riding. Overnight stay at Hundar. Originally called “Ldumra” meaning the ‘Valley of Flowers’. It is situated in the north of Ladakh region. The average altitude of valley is about 10,000 ft above the sea level. The main settlement are along the Shayok River and the Siachen River. The river belt areas are sandy and the vegetative cover includes green farmarisk and myricaria. One of the unique features of the landscape in Nubra is the sand dunes between Deskit ( administrative center) and Hunder village. Ancient trade route passed through Nubra valley and imprints can be seen even today. The double-humped Bactrian Camels of Silk route trade period still wander in the wilderness of the valley. The drive between Leh and Nubra involves negotiating the Khardungla Pass ( 5602 mtrs above sea level), which is considered as the highest motorable pass in the world.

Day 12  : Return to Leh and overnight stay. Visit other places in and around Leh.

Day 13  : Leh – Delhi , Transfer to Leh airport by Taxi.

02 Hotel ( A Class ) with Beak fast, lunch and diner.

03 All surface transport indicated in the itinerary.

04 Inner line permit fee, Wild life fee for the applicable area.
